A Bit of Brightening
I just couldn't leave that ChemoGuy shot as my last photo .... so here is a small ray of photographic sunshine to help wash away the darkness.

My husband approved the purchase of a DSLR as my "good job on this deployment" present. I bought a Nikon D40 about a month ago, and it's been my constant companion ever since. I can't wait till my husband gets home in a few weeks so I can go shooting without having to worry about the kind of trouble my toddler is causing. ;o)

I took that shot last summer in downtown Bremerton ... these were hung from the facade/awnings of one of the old business buildings along 1st Street (that led into the Navy Yard main gate near the ferry terminal).
I envy you your new camera!
